Gingham

Gingham is absolutely everywhere the past few months, there's no avoiding it. At first I wasn't a huge fan but after picking up this little gingham mini I was sold. I'm not really a dress person I prefer separates but I spotted this one in Penneys in Cork last week and had to have it.

I'm obsessed with the tie in the middle and the ruffled shelve and hem detail. Its so comfortable and best bit I think it was something like €18.

My youngest daughter finishes her first year of Montessori this week and her school hold the cutest graduation ceremonies at the end of each year so it was perfect excuse to whip out a dress.

Date Nights

With my husband only home at weekends, I think its extra important to have proper dates and make an extra little effort so here's some of my recent date night/day outfits.

The Montenotte, Cork

Dress Boohoo Current | Shoes Penneys Current

My better half has been working and living in Cork for the past couple of months, he travels home at weekends so this is my first time going down to see him. I'm so glad I waited because wow!! In the couple of months he's been there the hotel his apartment is in and its grounds have been completely refurbished and it looks amazing. I honestly don't know how we get him to come home at all. The view is like nothing I've seen in Ireland before. The amazing weather helped of course I felt like we were abroad.

Sunday we went for dinner in the hotel and a walk around the grounds and had some pre drinks in the roof top garden. Then we went to Jenny Green , a very nice gift from Marc's boss. After the concert we went for walk along the Harbour.

On Monday himself had to work so I went for a wander around Cork, this was my first time being there and I loved it. I found the whole city so quirky and colourful.

Convinced him to take some time out of work and meet me in the park ;) My girls finish up school for the summer next week and I can't wait to bring them down I know there going to love it as much as I did.

Wine Port Lodge, Glasson

Dress ASOS (this year) | Belt ASOS (last year) | Shoes Penneys | Earrings Claires (last year)
Wedding number two of the year was in the most stunning location in Glasson, The Wine Port Lodge. I can't get over how beautiful this location is for a wedding. Even just looking back at these pictures writing this post makes me want to go back. The lodge is right on the lake with a jetty so you can go right out onto the lake, perfect for wedding pictures.

All along the water is set up with tables and chairs so you can sit outside and take in the views, have a few drinks or for smokers. Cute fleecy blankets are provided for when it gets cooler in the evening.

It was so nice to be able to sit outside and enjoy the sunset while they rearranged the room the dancing. The setting made for some beautiful photos.

Each room has its own balcony over looking the water and with ours being on the second floor the view was amazing!! The only down side to attending a wedding with rooms is that you don't actually spend enough time in it. I will definitely be going back with the better half and spending my evening out on the balcony makin my way through the stocked mini bar in the room ;)
